Skye --- My '73 had picked up a few rattles since installing the hard top a couple of years ago. Yesterday, I went over the whole car with a hand full of socket wrenches and tightened (almost) every bolt that fastens the tub to the frame, along with the dash support bracket bolts. Wow, what a difference. Some of them took several turns before becoming snug again. After a test drive, the car is now back to being sufficiently quiet without these distracting sounds! I hate squeaks, rattles and groans.

Wow, a couple turns to snug!
I feel much better after I find things like that... I'm sure it made a huge difference

1974 Triumph TR6 "My Crisis"
Purchased the 'Toy' in 2012. A survivor with 39,000 original miles. Last winter worked on the more pressing mechanical issues, the front suspension, tires, water pump, and exhaust system. This year, since the weather has not been cooperative n eastern PA, I am working on some cosmetic items. Refurbishing seat foam along with replacing the worn out seat belts, replacing visors, repainting the spoiler, and a few other minor items.

1974 Triumph TR6 "Not Sure At The Moment..."
Great day on the TR6 today- After a short meeting at work, I headed back home(I was otherwise off) and pulled my 42 Dodge WC-51 restoration project out of the garage, & worked on getting the inner rocker in! I got to use my "new" toy- a Hobart Handler 120 Mig Welder! I just picked it up, and was looking forward to the upgrade from the flux wire...

I had most everything ready to go, but had to jack the dash up a little, to pull the side back into place: With the floor out & the rocker replaced, and the inner rocker still out, it had settled. A bottle jack & some angle iron served to lift everything back into place!

Got it all in- just some finish up to do & I can start on the front footwell...

My daughter took ME for a drive in the TR6.....first time ever. She took off like she'd be driving it for years....proud of her. Of course she has a Mini Cooper S with a 6 speed for a daily driver....she rakes it through the gears like Danica Patrick.

I covered up a hole! Well, last night. Not today. Please note the fine attention to detail and expert metal fabrication. Thank you.

Did a bit of engine compartment disassembly... I do have a couple questions about the head on the engine: It is a correct CF engine...

Is this the correct head?

Scott

And what is this serial number? (219019)

Aaand so you can see how much space I have to work with when I can't move the Dodge WC out because of the weather...
