Thanks, Brian. I am not going to rebuild the booster. Trying to save $, and I do think it is OK. It is not too big of a task to pull it out if I need to later. I drained it and painted it, and replaced the vacuum hose grommet.

I hear you Larry, I'm doing the same when I rebuild mine this spring. The booster still works fine so I'll just clean it up and do the "minor kit". I ended up purchasing some "filter foam" from Mcmaster. and cut the filter from that. Filter in the center. Still wonder why the kits don't come with the filter.
