Thank you John
I live in Ojai , which is in the middle of all the fires. Quite smoky but the fires past us by, and we are doing well. We loaded our cars up last night and waited. This morning the fires
moved on. ...........................

Hi John Mills,

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
A number of my friends have lost their homes to the fire last Tuesday but the city of Ventura is for the most part out of danger.
The Thomas Fire as it is called is moving north and west into Santa Barbara County and north east into wilderness areas of the Los Padres National Forest.
Here are a couple photos I took from my driveway early Tuesday morning and two from my office today.
Thanks to all of the fire fighters and there equipment as they saved the City of Ventura from burning to the ground.
The city officials have said that 485 homes in the city have been lost in the fire and this dose not count out building like sheds or barns.
Still can hear the fire fighting helo's flying back and forth dropping water and retardant on hot spots as the wind flares them up.
Still lots of smoke and ash in the air.
