Years ago Car & Driver w/ Brock Yates at the wheel, drove a Corvette to Alaska. So today w/ better roads it might be do-able.

Moss Motors Magazine had an article about a couple doing the ALCAN 5000 in a TR4. It was issue 1 of 2015. Good article.

There is another article about a solo adventurer off to see N America in his TR6 (I think). Issue 2 of 2016.

IT COULDN'T BE DONE
by
Edgar A Guest (1881-1959)

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But she with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't", but she would be one
Who wouldn't say so till she tried.

So she buckled right in with a trace of a grin
On her face. If she worried she hid it.
She started to sing as she tackled the thing,
That couldn't be done and she did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it"
But she took off her coat and she took of her hat,
And the first thing we knew she'd begun it.

With a lift of her chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
She started to sing as she tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and she did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.

But just buckle in with a bit of a grin
Just take off your coat and go to it.
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.

Hello
Talking about going for a drive, Some years ago................ late in 1982...........I was on my way to the Dodge dealer ship I worked for then.
I was rear ended by a pick up, needless to say my LBC didn't fair to well. So I had to buy a so called parts car. $700.00 And I drove it home about 40
miles.To Make a long story short, I made one car out of two. After 5 months of work non stop it was finish. I left home in Southern California and drove to
my younger bro. on the east coast. I spent the next 2 1/2 months on the road, the only issues I had, was my OD solenoid failed and my radio. I replaced the
radio at my Brothers in Virginia . The solenoid when I got home. What a blast, saw family and friends around the country, and a lot of this country. If you have
the opportunity, However, the early 1980s was a different time. Good luck to you

TM German

P.S. The photo is my car just finish.
