600 is too smooth, ask how I know.Been doing 320 with soap and water for years and have had good results with single stage and BCCC. Always rub two pieces together before using, gets rid of the overly large bits. You are going to use a sealer before painting, right?It's a very thin coat and could save the whole job, just a little oil from a hand with cause a spider web under the paint.Wayne

Thanks Wayne...I will get some 320 and ditch the 600. Once I am done with the body I will tow it to a garage and have someone else paint. I have no clue fire painting.
